Christ and Culture

The Christ and Culture course, compiled from the powerful sermons of Dr. Peter Young, is designed to explore how modern-day disciples are called to navigate and engage with today’s complex cultural landscape. This course begins with foundational lessons on How Disciples Live in Today’s Culture, examining how worldviews shape cultural divides and how Satan strategically polarizes them. Students will learn the importance of prioritizing love, mercy, and compassion over legalism, as well as Jesus’ model of showing initiative toward outcasts. Topics such as Loving Unchurched People and Communities and Truth and Holiness will also be discussed, providing guidance for living out authentic discipleship in a fragmented world.

The course further dives into practical teachings, including how to live a Lifestyle of Risk for Jesus and how to create environments where Jesus can touch the broken, highlighting guest speakers like Robby Dawkins and Simon Obert. Through this comprehensive study, you will be equipped to embody Christ’s love in a culturally divided world, balancing truth with grace, and engaging with communities both inside and outside the church.
